This is a section in the OCAC Series in Mandarin Lessons for Children, featuring Chinese-English pedagogical drills in the form of riddle solving, especially designed for schoolchildren. Riddle solving in Chinese culture has a very long history and is a crucial element in recreational living as well as in sharpening mental faculty for all ages. (114) Exercises in Hakka (OCAC)
Exercises in Hakka is a comprehensive introduction to the history, culture and language of the Hakka people in Taiwan. It contains a concise account of the Hakka migratory history from mainland China to Taiwan, and introductory linguistics of the Hakka language. The exercise section is provided with the Taiwan Language Phonetic Alphabet (TLPA) for reference to standard pronunciation, and contains multimedia sound files in two major dialects. There is also a section dedicated to the religious faith, folk art and craft, and cuisine of the Taiwanese Hakka people. In addition, there are hyperlinks to other Hakka resources on the Internet.

(119) Music Appreciation: Listen to the Voice of Taiwan (OCAC)
This is a wonderful multimedia webpage dedicated to the appreciation of the indigenous music of Taiwan. It is divided into several sections: (1) Musical Map, in which the folksongs of Taiwan are classified according to their geographical origins on the island; (2) People, in which the music from different tribes, integration with Western music, and popular songs familiar across generations are introduced; (3) Instruments, a brief introduction of the types of native musical instruments; and (4) e-Concerts, a collection of 25 Taiwanese songs in different languages and variants, including aboriginal languages, Hakka, Taiwanese and Mandarin.

(123) Chinese Conversation – Intermediate to Advanced Levels (OCAC)
This is an online portal offering 20 lessons of Mandarin conversation exercises for intermediate to advanced students wishing to learn Chinese. Content of main texts derive from situations and usage in common daily activities. All lessons are provided with English translations, a vocabulary and expressions list, substitution exercises, multimedia sound files, a final review, and an index of stroke orders of traditional Chinese characters.

Introduction to the Culture of Kinmen is an online multimedia introduction to the cultural assets of Kinmen (Quemoy), a small archipelago off the coast of Xiamen (Amoy), Fujian Province, administered by the Republic of China. Contents include: Historical Background, Beauty of Architecture, Maintenance and Protection of Cultural Assets, Folk Arts, Road Map, and a reference section on the use of the Taiwan Tongyong Romanization system.
